What will I try to keep in mind regarding quote use as I begin to write my essay?
As I begin my essay I think it is important that I remember to do a “sandwich” around my quote. I have a tendency in the past to not add enough detail to the beginning before I use a quotation. In my upcoming essay my main goal is to summarize my ideas more in-depth before beginning a quotation. If I describe my own opinions better I think it will help me in my writing. Also, in my upcoming writing I need to remember to use the authors ideas just as much as my own. In past writings I try to focus my argument around just what the author is saying and I do not put enough of my own thoughts in. With this upcoming essay I am going to focus on including what “I say”.
