I would assume as a nurse my responsibility would be to implement ethical decisions in every part of my practice. If I question whether a decision or patient situation is ethical or not I should consult the ethics committee. Evidence should be used to help guide ethical practice and teach future nurses how to act in an ethical manner. Nurses are the person who is with the patient in the hospital most often, so it is the nurses job to make sure they situation they are in is ethical. If patient safety or the decisions being made for a patient are question you should seek help from the committee. You could be the only one who notices something is wrong and if you do not step in the patient could suffer.
