One example of a class where we did a peer review was Medicine in the Media. This is an explore class that require us to do a final project on a topic of choice. I chose to write about CTE, a form of traumatic brain injury. The project asks us to write a 3-4 page paper on our topics. In class a few weeks ago we all brought in rough drafts to correct with two peers. I took the skills of global and local editing into consideration during this peer review. I also thought about making sure people quoted correctly. I checked to make sure my peers had a sandwich around their quotes to explain them properly. The skills I pulled from English 110 helped me edit this paper, because I knew what to look for in my editing. The skills that I learned in English also helped me correct my own paper and search for mistakes that my peers may have missed.
