As always with team projects, I anticipate that it will require communication and team work to accomplish our final paper. I think choosing a topic that interests all four of us will be the most difficult part of the project. My goal is to find something that we all find interesting, as well as a topic that each of us feel comfortable working with. It is helpful that all of us are friends in the group, so communication will come easy because we talk to each other everyday. We will make a group text message chain in order to check in and make sure everyone is completing what is assigned by the due dates. We will also help hold each other accountable by making each person responsibilities clear. If a complication does arise, we understand that we must confront each other as soon as a problem is realized. We cannot wait for problems to grow before confronting one another. If a team member is not doing everything they should, we will first have a respectful conversation, and if the problem is not solved we will seek outside help. If someone repeatedly cannot complete work on time, they will be asked to leave the group. I do not want to see anyone do this paper alone, so I will try my best to keep the group together. I think it is a benefit for us that we are friends because we are more comfortable going to each others homes. Also, we drive to class together which allows us ample time to talk through assignments. Working in this group now will help us in future nursing practice because we will be used to working in teams to complete work. Also, we will be prepared to share our ideas with members of a team and will be confident making suggestions about others ideas. I am excited about this opportunity to write a paper with members of my nursing class to better understand Evidenced Based Practice in nursing.
